Creating a new dish with limited ingredients that come out of a mystery box is not easy but it challenges me to do my best.
I participated in a competition run by blogger Ritu Chaturvedi sponsored by Natco Spices and Choithrams.
I created a Chai Spice with ginger powder, cardamom, black pepper and cloves and marinated the chicken with it with sesame seed, tamarind paste and yogurt and topped it with lemon and orange zest.
The chilla’s (pancakes) were made with gram flour, yogurt, with a dash of onion, mint and chili and flavored with crushed curry leaves.
Came home with the first prize.
