In celebration of accessible dining in style, the Armani hotel Dubai had an event
“GOURMET STYLE 10/10 ”
a 10 day celebration of fine dining. We had celebrations of our own too,my husband’s birthday!!!
We arrived at the restaurant and were welcomed with a welcome drink before we made our way to our table.
More than half the tables do not have the fantastic views of the dubai fountains in the indoor seating area but I do need to go back for their outdoor seating and signature menus in better weather. However we could walk out on the deck and see the gorgeous musical fountains, beneath the towering Burj.
So since it was too hot to be out in the first week of october we quickly went in for the feast.
For Starters there was MASALA BLACK COD and PRAWN PORICHATU
both were superlative followed by BLACK PEPPER AND CURRY LEAF CHICKEN TIKKA and GRILLED BALSAMIC LAMB CHOP
In the mains there was GUINEA FOWL MUSSALAM/MORREL STUFFED BREAST,with apricot chutney, smoked korma sauce served with dal makhni, bombay aloo ,sundried tomato and smoked mozarella kulcha.
This is a fusion of eastern and western flavours and presentation and though I thought it was good ,my 14yr old son would have preferred a choice here in the menu.
this was followed by the Desert “AMAL SAMPLER PLATTER ” with SAFFRON PHIRNI, COCONUT SEMIFREDO,GULAB JAMUN
cannot be a birthday without the cake
with Chef Dhinakaran Arulandu (and Alister in the background)
Finished off the lovely dinner with “ETERNAL SUMMER” tea and Indian Petit Fours
Finally the charming Alister who looked after us took us for a tour of the deli
Definitely will return as there is a lot more on the menu that needs to be explored.
