The Vida Hotel Downtown has a brunch on the weekend with a difference.
It is a picnic where you fill your basket with food and drink and take it to your table or outdoor bench by the pool and come back for endless refills.
The brainchild of Chef Spencer Lee Black ,the place is inviting you to over indulge, and we were spoilt for choice.
you can choose one of the cabanas too if you wanted a dip in the pool.
I loved their picnic baskets and went off immediately to fill mine!!!!!
A wide choice of drinks were on offer with interesting cocktails and you could just take your wine bottles to the table too
A huge cheese and bread station dominated the centre of the floor and on one side with sandwiches , quiches , and multiple varieties of bread and cheese
with a fondue too
besides a live pizza and sandwich station catered to your taste
Totally loved the sinle portions of salads including quinoa in quaint jars had to taste them all
Were we ready for the mains
This was served to our table in my Indian style tiffin boxes , so loved the idea and so much food , they were even kind enough to make an extra pasta dish for my mom who is vegetarian, really this was the way to our hearts and we had not even got to dessert yet.
I would actually want to write another post on the dessert , cakes, pastries, pies, cookies, macarons, jelly, mousse, chocolate milk shots in small coke bottles ( the best), smoothies, jujubes, chocolate fondue. Did I miss anything, dont know where to start and where to stop, but I will let my pictures do the talking.
It was never ending.
my mom needed a coffee to keep her awake.
A big Thank you to Chef Spencer for this lovely mix of east and west.
Will I go back?? You bet I will , this time after skipping breakfast.
SMILES OF SATISFACTION
