Yesterday we visited P F Changs at the Mall of Emirates for lunch.
I have eaten at this and their other outlets before. As part of their celebrations for the Chinese new year they have the ‘Lucky 8’ new dishes on the special menu.
The chicken noodle soup was a huge portion and could easily be shared by 4 people. Though we were warned it would be spicy it was quite mild but tasty. We even ordered the garlic prawns from this menu and they were good.
The Dynamite Shrimps are the go to dish for this place and didn’t disappoint.
Since we had a vegetarian guest we tried the Ma To Tofu , I thought it was just palatable and it was served with white and/or brown rice and would probably need to be less dry. The veggy lettuce wraps were excellent and Lo mein noodles were good too.
The one thing I felt through my lunch was that the service was slow and disinterested. Just having enthusiastic servers who communicate the order correctly and quickly plays a huge role in the essence of ones experience and I think the staff at P F Chang have lots to learn there.
Reviewing a restaurant is rather difficult as it is based on your experience and personal likes and dislikes, but keeping that aside and giving a fair account of the meal experience is my priority as it allows someone reading this to make informed choices and gives the restaurant to better itself in certain areas by looking at their place through someone elses eyes.
